Springs and Mass Concluding Questions

In a short essay, address the following questions:
  • What amount mass made your spring stretch the largest on Earth?
  • What amount mass made your spring stretch the least on Earth?
  • Was your hypothesis correct or incorrect?
  • Why did one amount of mass make the spring stretch more than the others?
  • How did the results of the experiment at another location compare to your Earth results?
    • Where did the spring stretch the farthest and with which amount of mass?
    • Predict why that may be.
  • Did you have any problems with the experiment?
  • What could you have done to make the experiment more accurate?

Mass and Springs Questions

1. How do you think a spring will respond when a small amount of mass is hooked onto the end of it?

2. How do you think the spring will respond to a greater amount of mass?

3. What place have you chosen for your comparison?

4. How do you think that the spring will respond to mass in that environment?

Your answer will be considered your hypothesis.
